“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” Dale Carnegie

Hello There!

I’ve been meaning to write for some time, but never got to it.
Today, my husband is on a three-day business trip, and I am sitting here at home, on the first evening that he is out, thinking about my goals.

There are many. I have them all documented in some fashion or another. I have lists with daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals, yearly goals… life goals. I have wrapped them in my life’s statement of purpose, you name it!

But today I want to talk about one. Reach my Happy Weight. It has been so difficult! Juggling my life to fit consuming 1300 calories a day is not easy! Spring and summer have come, and I have indulged in dinners and drinks out. The hot weather hasn’t helped me in making my mind to attending a Hot Yoga class. Generally – you feel it is time to indulge and not think about the scale!

Well, that has made me not lose any weight. I didn’t gain major weight either, but I thought by the end of Summer I would be in the 150’s… I am not.!

This morning, I put this outfit together, and I have taken a picture of it, but I don’t have any intention to wear it, and then take a pic! I don’t think that pic would look any better than the one I am posting! I think the Kate Spade purse goes very well with the otherwise white and black ensemble, but you need a skinny (I mean average weight, not overweight) girl to rock it!

All I have to do is to keep at it. Like I mentioned on my second posting on Jun 07, you just have to keep at it, and pretty soon you’ll get it.

I have been trying any possible ways to be able to achieve this lifelong goal, and the other day, a new way of motivating myself, just showed up!

During an inconsequential chit-chat with my husband, we decided we will visit New York City; however, that will happen only when I reach 135lbs! We’ll just take the train from Pittsburgh or fly, and we’ll visit art galleries and museums and enjoy the awesome food NY City has to offer.

That sounds like an awesome reward! All I have to do is to lose 3-4 pounds a week, and pretty soon I’ll get there!

I have started using http://supertracker.usda.gov/ again, and being more mindful of my exercise routine and eating habits. It is a tough balance to achieve, and I have a long way to go, but I have hopes one day I will be able to achieve that balance!

Until then, I’ll keep trying to achieve this goal, as I do for any of the other many other goals I have, and eventually they’ll become reality!

Keep at it!

Tita
